«Popping» sound when turning 4matic
Got a issue with my 2006-model e280 (v6) 4Matic.
The car is making a poppingsound when turning, in both directions. Driveshaft, tie rods and wheel bevaring has been replaced.
See the video in attachments!
Do you have any idea what the problem can be?

How many miles on the car?
Any torn boots on the CV joints?
How long ago was the work done that you listed?
Have you checked the work?
My first thought is that you've got a CV joint that is toast. Usually this is because the rubber boot over the joint has been torn for long enough for the grease to be flung out and the joint to wear out. The popping is the sound of the CV bearings going in and out of the worn groove in the race.

If the sound increases/decreases with vehicle speed, I would look carefully to either the axles, the front drive shafts at the transfer case, U-joint?

loud popping in my car when going over bumps and off camber turns/into my driveway. finally got it up it in the front, both tires off.....one sway bar linkage end had completely shed it's bushing and disconnected on the passenger side, driver side rubber bushing at end of sway bar linkage was about to go. Got both sway bar links at o'reilly's for $84 same day (from china) and lucky to have them in a pinch, car was undriveable. Inspect yours, it may be your sway bar popping against a disconnected linkage.
