Tele Aid keeps calling SOS, draining battery

How do I turn off the SOS once it starts calling Tele aid? Button got pushed accidentally. Been dialing for days.

Hang up should do it? Does it not?

Thanks for the suggestion, but "hang up" does nothing. I also cannot find a fuse that will stop it either.

No more MB:(
I've never heard of such a thing. Amazing. So what, it's always dialing? Anyone answer?

Disconnect and reconnect the battery?

I did that. It caused the SRS to throw out a Service SRS Now! Light on the dash cuz it thinks it can't phone home in the event of a crash. Enabling teleaid didn't turn the message off.
edited to add: gonna go back into the airbag control module to complete the process described in your link. I knew there had to be something I missed.

tele-aid still works?

can you still subscribe?

i was wondering if there was way to re-route the number it dials to someone you know in case you have other means of roadside assistance, but have no cell phone.

TeleAid in its original form was analog instead of digital; therefore, no longer supported since the telephone carriers now only supports digital (all described in the link by Konigstiger)

The alternative is to buy (if still available) the part to switch from analog to digital and subscribe to MBrace (the current MB system)

TeleAid has been deprecated by MB, so the system will never connect. My car would randomly give TeleAid errors with an alarm that sounded like a car alarm. Nothing would make it stop (pressing key fob buttons, unlocking the car, starting, etc...nothing).

The only solution is to have a shop with Star go in and disable the system. This is per official Mercedes documentation. Unfortunately RBM in Atlanta would not accept my car in to have the procedure done because "We don't service cars that old.", which is straight bull****. The car was even purchased there originally in 2003. I had a better shop perform the work, Blue Ridge MB.

This just started happening to my car - on my 2008 I was able to pull fuse #50 i believe, a 5amp fuse under the hood. This is for the sos system and has not seemed to affect anything else, and no more calling issues.
