True milage
Hi
Is there a way to find out true milage of a w211? I know the odometer has been tampered with. Official Export documents from auction shows higher km reading than actual displayed in car.

iCarly compares the ECU and a few other computers. At least according to the guys flogging them on youtube.

Then that's the actual mileage. Going from memory the mileage is stored in the instrument cluster ECU and CGW. If all 3 numbers don't agree than the odometer in the cluster just displays - - - - - -

In fact this is not the actual milage. I have official auction papers in Japan with 121550km

Do you have a picture of that odometer reading? Find the vehicle history in Japan.

Central Gateway (CGW). Look it up in STAR. I've posted on this before. Very nice feature to find what maintenance has been logged into the system. Provides days from initial activation plus mileage and days from last service.

OK. So basically I can change km reading in all modules with ex.abrites Link Can Star also change in all locations?
It seems the trickiest is to change odometer and eis or make odometer read new value from eis. What I've read you must either have a can blocker in eis or de-solder eeprom.
Anyone here actually done it?

Mackhack or BenzNinja can do it but they are people who I regard as professional technicians.
Mackhack corrected my used instrument cluster to reflect correct mileage.
