BRAKE EBV, ABS, ESP inoperative Rig Test?!?!
This message and lights came on today. Anyone know what this is or how to clear it?
Unfortunately, two things happened yesterday so I am not certain what caused this light to turn on.
1. My brake ware light was on, so all brakes and sensors were replaced.
2. The car battery appeared to have died and it was jump started. ( My fault. Since the pandemic the car is rarely used)
3. I took the car for a drive to see if the breaks ware light was cleared and then this message appeared "BRAKE EBV, ABS, ESP inoperative Rig Test 0 MPH....."

This is a common problem accross the MB range. One common fix for this has been to replace the brake light switch under the dash and attached to the brake pedal. Another source of this warning for me was a faulty speed sensor. Until you scan the car for codes, you won't know what the problem is. Buy yourself an MB specific scan tool. Not just an OBDII tool. Most likely it will tell you the source of the problem. If its one of the sources suggested above, they are easy and cheap fixes.

... to the excellent advices you got above I will add low voltage makes these 40+ computers nuts.
Try not to jump start dead batteries, let them charge first.
You need a good power source to prevent voltage issues... keep your battery maintained with an automatic CTEK tender/charger.
