hello Konigstiger,

I need the part number for the a/c compressor on 2006 E320 CDI.

The electrical connector looks like it is fiber filled black plastic and has deteriorated, is flaking apart, no longer useable. Is there a part number for both male and female halves?

with the power steering above it its difficult to access it,

I hit a deer and it punctured the condenser, I had to drive about 150 miles without refrigerant.

Do you think the compressor will be Ok since it looks like there is no clutch.

Thank you,

Konigstiger thank you,

any idea if the compressor would be damaged if I drove the vehicle without refrigerant for 150 miles?

To answer my own question about damage to the AC compressor without refrigerant while operating the vehicle. Because I don’t have a garage and hit the deer in the winter, I ended up putting about 2500 miles before I could replace parts in the spring. No damage to the compressor occurred, still holds refrigerant a year later. I added some UV oil just in case. I replaced the valves in the ports to make sure I wouldn’t have any leaks, but I had leaks somewhere while doing pressure and vacuum tests. Turns out all 10 valves purchased from Amazon were defective, so the old ones went back in. I had trouble weighing in the refrigerant when the temps were 50F, couldn’t get enough in, was taking forever. The next day it warmed up to ~63F and I got the remaining in. The parts I replaced were the condenser and the drier which is the long cylinder mounted to the bottom if the condenser and the electrical cable on top of the compressor.
