Checking the oil level in the cluster.

Is this functionality optional? My manual says I have it but I can’t seem to make it work. Same for tire pressure monitoring. I don’t have the valve stems but my question is, was it standard? If I replaced the stems would it work?

I have an 08 E300 and it is not possible to check oil level from the dash.

Runflat option 477 may be available; check your VIN and see which options were included with your vehicle. TPMS won't work if you just install the senders in the stem valves on the rims. You need proper cabling and control unit in the car as well as having the car programmed to recognise it. Not a trivial task I understand.

thanks for the info. I’m not interested in adding it as much as I wanted to make sure something wasn’t malfunctioning.

My ‘05 CDI does not have a dip stick. How do I measure it?
