DVD in motion enabled!
My 2003 US Navi replacement could play a DVD when stationery after the 3-5-7 trick but not during motion. Steve (MBenzNL) activated DVD-in-motion today. It didn't just take a straight-forward changing of some options via Star Diagnosis, however. He had to do a COMAND software upgrade then some option changing. The upside is that it now plays DVD in motion AND plays MP3 DVDs (and CDs) !!! 
The downside, which I don't think it actually is, is that the 3-5-7 trick no longer works.

There is alot of documentation here on who is doing what. Lawyers eat this **** up.... Be carfull.....

Mine didn't play MP3 DVD until a firmware upgrade was applied by Steve (MBenzNL). Now it can play DVD+R and DVD+RW. My computer does not burn DVD-R, so haven't tried that version.

2004 E's can go to the menu with the 5-3-7 trick. In all cases, the DVD playing feature or DVD-In-Motion capability does not work no matter what setting you use. We build date of 04ers are SOL (sh*t out of luck)

I hope you have had all your questions answered. The search engine isn't the easiest thing to use. I just typed in Nero to see the answer in reverse
I realise you cannot possibly put that in as a search, but it then connects with threads where members have asked questions about what software is being used to burn Mp3's onto either CD or DVD.My personal choice is to burn onto CD, solely because of numbers. A DVD would never finish playing
