I have a 2005 E320 4 Matic that I am trying to update. The owner's manual says the navigation unit is in the trunk driver's side, but it's not there. I have a slot for a disk above the radio. it accepts the disk, but nothing happens. Any suggestions as
to where to locate the navigation unit. Thank you!
The navigation unit is in the trunk as you’ve stated. If none is there on your car, it has been removed or your car was never equipped for navigation.

I have the original window sticker for the car and it says $970.00 extra was paid for the 320 Entertainment Package adding to the AM/FM single disc CD, and Tele Aid Emergency calling and Communication system. I'm not sure what is in the Entertaiment Package, tried looking on internet, can't find anything. Any idea what the slot above the radio is? I attached a picture. Thank you!

Slot is where you insert the cd and listen to music. Like you said, AM/FM single disc CD.
But there is nothing about navigation that are included to that package.
Post your VIN, maybe someone can look it up. Or you can go to www.mbepc.com and check it for yourself.

!!. The GPS dvd drive is in the trunk, behind the cover!!.. You will have to remove the cover to see the dvd drive

And on the wagon, the whole panel has to come off to gain access to the dvd drive.
You aren't missing anything, navigation on these units is AWFUL. Even if the maps got updated so they were actually accurate, it takes 5 minutes to setup a new destination. And it doesn't account for traffic or accidents the way a Maps or Waze does.
