2006 E500 labor hours to replace the engine

I recently got a 2006 E500 that seemed to be running and driving like a new car for cheap. As it turned out the guy selling it changed the oil to hide a headgasket issue where coolant is getting into the engine. I couldn't find the amount of labor hours to replace the whole engine so I figured I'd ask here. Thank y'all so much in advance!
update: I realized it is a w211 not a w210 and I can't find a way to delete this post

Order of magnitude $10k, plus or minus.

What leads you to believe the engine needs to be replaced?

I've done a bit more research and I've found out it could potentially be an oil cooler. The reason I'm not so keen on doing a headgasket job is it is a higher millage engine but otherwise mechanically seems very solid. I've found engines for reasonable with pretty low mileage but never found any labor hours to do it. I'm a new to having a Mercedes-Benz so I probably jumped the gun so to speak on assuming it was a headgasket which doesn't seem to be common what so ever as an issue. The only worry I have now is if the guy who sold it neglected to tell me more issues or was told by a mechanic what the issue was or maybe best case he assumed about the headgasket or whatever else he could have thought the issue was and it really is the oil cooler.

Time to get it properly diagnosed by yourself or a mechanic.

The site members can help you with the diagnostic process. Step #1 is cleaning up all of the oil on the engine so that you can see the source of the oil. Once the source is positively identified, corrective action can be taken.
