Scuff Plate in Cargo area of wagon coming loose

Hello fellow wagon-owners,

the chrome scuff plate in the cargo area is coming loose in the rear of the plate and it looks like all the clips that held it snug against the rubber have broken off. I cannot find any pictures of these clips in the parts catalogue and searching the forum didn't turn up anything either. This is a weird one because my scuff plate looks perfect otherwise. Does someone know where to get these clips and how to replace them?

Thank you

Long... I had the same problem with my 2004. Turns out that there were a couple of issues:

a. Some of the clips were indeed broken.
b. The retaining edge on the chrome cover was bent in a few spots.

Here is the part number for the clips:
211-698-01-14

I believe it uses 6 or 8, but you likely do not need that many. It is only possible to correctly do this job by fully removing the entire trim piece.

Let me know if you have any questions... Jeff

This was exactly what I needed, thank you very much. I found that bending the scuff plate a little helped to align it such that it would catch on the existing clips.
