Hey fellas, I have a 2003 E320 M112 W211 that I had since 2006 and I love it soo much. I actually wanted to keep it original but I crashed it so I said that this is my chance to make it a project, so I made so many upgrades to it like racing brakes, adjustable aftermarket coilovers, full E55 bodykit, cls55 rims, full repaint, carbon fiber steering, some weight reduction(-100kg), android touch screen and a good sound system, aftermarket taillights, xenon and led headlights, full exhaust, ecu tune stage 1.
But after all these years of beating the hell out of that V6, it came to it’s end and now I want to M113 V8 swap it. I bought an engine from a E500 with harness and ecu only, but I wanted to keep my 722.6 bcz I don’t like the 722.9, my question is will the V8 work with my transmission or not?
Ps: Did I miss a something necessary for the swap?
The 722.6 was used on the E500 4Matic but not on the RWD, Unsure if they changed the bolt up pattern, MB was cost conscious so it maybe a direct fit for the RWD, but unsure

The 722.6 was used in a RWD CLK500 from 2003 to 2004
I feel like the most difficult part of this swap will be the coding. Mechanically everything should bolt right up. Not sure about wiring but if you have the full harness from the V8 it should be pretty straightforward.
Will be following your swap closely, might do the same later on down the road.
