Dashes "---" on the gauge cluster for Audio/NAV/Tele
Switching through the menus I see the following. Nothing is being loaded on the actual gauge cluster.
Note that I can hear and see the music on the Comand Screen. I can see the NAVI and things like that but nothing appears to be loading on the gauge cluster. I will also note that years ago I unlocked the date/time to show in the cluster and that is currently showing the incorrect time not what is being shown on the Comand screen. Comand screen showing today's date and time, while the gauge cluster time is off by 5 hours and shows a date from 2003...lol? All steering wheel buttons works and cycle through menus/volume..etc.
Battery on the car is from 2018'. OEM MB battery. Could a defective battery cause anything like this? I was getting a weird error with the blower motor a few weeks ago and replaced the blower motor regulator and that's fine now, but when I drove the car today after disconnecting the battery last week to remove the blower motor and regulator this is what I see now.
Welp after researching everything and thinking it could be a possible module or ecu...etc. I simply unplugged both terminals on the battery for an hour, ate dinner, came back out and plugged everything back in. Now everything is back to normal.
I'm guessing it could have happened when I unplugged something the other day to re-route the wires behind a metal bar rather than it resting on it and possible wearing through. The car was off though so not sure why that would have broken the loop.
