intake runners

I wanted to ask this question for some time. My intake runner valves have been broken for over 2 yrs and 10k miles ago. The car has/is always running perfect. I also noticed that the car has not lost any performance that i can tell. Reason I have not ever done this because of it always running fine. What do all think?

Hard to say. They get coated with oil from a bad oil separator/oil breather cover then oil gets into the intake and coats the runners causing them to gum up. Now they're stuck in one position, maybe it favors low rpms and you only have issues at high rpms but maybe you don't notice it at high rpms. Other people who have ignored it later mention how bits of the intake broke off and felt into the engine causing engine damage. But if it's not moving at all, then maybe the runners won't break and fall into the engine. But I'd fix it, you probably have a CEL on all the time and you won't know if you have a new problem if the light is on all the time.

2008 E350 (W211 @170K), 2012 ML350 (W166 @119K), 2014 E350 Sport (W212 @96K), 2015 ML350 (W166 @92K)
Sisters car has the same issue, and no CEL. It shows up using scanner or Xentry.

If it were mine, and driving often I would definitely fix it. I can manually move it from open to close by moving the actuator up front. You may need to drive a car where is working correctly to notice the subtle differences, you will then notice it more. The engine is not breathing as it should.
