722.9 VG1 compatibility

Good day guys!

Need expedite help on this please. My car (2006 e350 Base) has been diagnosed with a bad 722.9 valve body and conductor plate. The car runs fine at this moment. In fact this came up after a routine dealer inspection. Every now and then the car downshifts hard from 3rd to 2nd. it has done it probably 8 times in 2 years. I have been reading, and apparently when version VG1 fails, it requires both the valve body and the conductor plate to be replaced. VG2 and VG3 require only the Conductor plate. So my question is this...

If i buy a complete valve body and conductor plate either VG2 or VG3, are they compatible with VG1 since I am replacing it as a set?

Need to order it soon to be able to get it on time this week. I am actually driving 3 days from the east coast into Mexico to go from a $10k estimate to a $2k one to have it repaired. All this on labor day weekend. (Only the driving obviously)

Thanks guys!

Your car actually has VGS2. Not 1. Depending on the codes and the symptoms you should be able to do just the conductor plate. The remanufactured plate from the dealer is only $460 but you can not purchase this part. You either do it at the dealer or find a shop that has all the proper licensing. I do these plates at my shop all day long. It's rare that we replace the complete valve body.

Great! I will try buying the sensors online and installing them myself. For what i read, that would be the easiest way not to re flash the conductor plate since it will be the same one. Not real symptoms. although i pulled old codes from the tcu.

P2206, P2207, P2200, P2201.

I deleted them a few days ago. I have been driving the car and will check for codes again. But they were past codes, not sure why they were not deleted. Either way, thanks again and wish me luck! long drive! 2200 miles! one way!
