Unhappy W211 TURN SIGNAL NOT WORKING HELP

recently got into a little rear end accident last month and i've been helping my dad fix up my 06 e320 cdi but we're running into a bunch of issues. we had to repair the headlight housing bcs it got damaged in the accident. no biggie but there seems to be a problem on the electrical side. turn signal bulb is getting a steady 8 volts even when not on so we're thinking there's gotta be a short somewhere or a module is bad. replacing bulb wouldn't do anything. we replaced the rear SAM in the trunk but still nothing. we're trying to figure out where the passenger side SAM module is but couldn't really find any info on that. can anybody please help out?

Passenger SAM is in passenger foot well. Pull the carpet and styrox pad, then remove M6 flanged nuts that hold the steel plate. Pull the plate, and you'll find the SAM from the upper left corner.
