You probably need a higher output alternator. I think battery protection kicks in once voltage goes below 11 volts. You don't really want to disable it, you either need to turn down the volume or increase the alternator output if there is even one available.

Woofer power feed troubles...

getting your voltage low enough to trigger a message must have disrupted a few important VIP modules... DTC farm!!

Where do you tap Amp power currently?

You're interested in taping ALT power "under the radar" - Try at the landing post for ALT on Pre-Fuse module.

Keep your Farad capacitor in-circuit to smooth ripples from crashing CAN coms.

Hey Cali, I know this is old but I’ve been dealing with this issue for months. Could you please elaborate on where to connect the amp to “fly under the radar”

I have a dedicated second battery and isolator and the system still shuts the bass off after 10-15 minutes. Isolator separates the batteries when off but not on.

It sounds like your power feed needs a better chance to bring 14.4V to your Amp.

You need to grab ALT +12V as close as possible so either at ALT OUPUT or at the PreFuse ALT INPUT whichever is safe and secured.

The other thing is you may have avariable voltage controlled by ECU from 12.6 to 14.9V.
Your Amp doesn't like 12.6V because it must pass through batt insulator that shaves some volts ...

so at the end of the days you're dealing with bad low voltage.
The cheap GND RETURN STRAP needs to be tripled for low drop voltage the easy way.
