Arnott rear air spring 5380 code
So today I replaced both my rear air Matic Springs on my 2004 E320 cdi wagon . I had no codes whatsoever on the factory Mercedes air springs setup . I just changed them due to the mileage on a vehicle with the Arnott 2724. But now I’m now getting an error code 5380 . This is odd I had no codes before
Thoughts?

Check the electrical connection on top left air mount, make sure the pins/plug are ok and clean and the plug is tight. Make sure to hit both male/female with electrical cleaner and let it dry. If the plug needs to be replaced, it is electrical part A 008 545 63 26 - that is a common connector and should be available at any MB dealer (or online in many places).

So an update. Plugged in my old mb air struts . Code went away . Defective Arnott air spring . Called them directly here in Europe . They already have one being shipped from the Netherlands to Austria . Sucks this happened , but good customer service 👍🏼

I've got a similar code (open circuit code) and have since shortly after installed. Doesn't hurt anything, just gives the annoying error on the dash. Not worth taking the time to change the bag, when that part of the bag is non existent anyways (they don't use the extra volume)

ah. I know some codes will set the suspension to full stiff. And in that case, yeah they ride like total crap. Mine is lowered so it doesnt ride all that great anyways. haha.

So … no code now after I installed the new air spring . But…… the left rear side sits a little lower then the right . Also the active suspension buttons don’t work after I chose to raise the suspension . It randomly turns on and off .
other then that the car rides fine but on my car soft scanner shows the rear level sensor -21mm
Thoughts ?
