My 20" rims dilema

ok guys ... i got a good deal here for LM 5 3 pieces 20 inch rims Lorinser. Now ... my only problem is ... i am not sure if i should lower my car or not?

and second ... if i do lower my car ... i would be a bumpy road for me right?

should i go with 20 inch in the back and 19 inch in the front?

let me know !! i am so confused. Btw my car is 2004 e 320.

thx,
jc

was '03 E320 - now - '04 S4
if you are going to run 20" wheels - IMO you have to lower the car. You'll get that 4X4 look otherwise.

20"s will increase the ride harshness more than a subtle drop will. If you slam the car - all bets are off.

If you have airmatic on your E320 - it shouldn't be bad at all. If you don't - coilovers or new springs are likely in your future.

You should go with a 1995 Honda Civic fart-can edition

For the punk transformation; I hate to see a Mercedes get ruined.

19" wheels MAXIMUM

and try it out before lowering.

You really don't need to.

That way you won't ruin the ride.

this is the question for "marc777"
u said to go with 19 so i dont need to lower my car ... how about the thickness of the tires? should i go with 35 or 40? caz i think the thicker i go ... at least it can absorb some of the impacts to bumpy roads for example.

These are Maya 19's with the manual airmatic drop. You make the decision whether this looks good or not. Idealy I would have liked to go with 20's. But the ride has stiffened a good deal with 19's and 20's would only have been worse. So I am happy with my setup. But like I said, 20's are the ideal size for this vehicle in my opinion.
