2008 E550 Camshaft Position Sensor Code P0025

2008 W211 E550

I have a DTC code P0025 that just popped up. I know that this is the Left (driver side) Camshaft Position Sensor or magnet as I see it also referred to.

The specific description I get is: "Continuous camshaft adjustment (left): incorrect outlet camshaft position (CMP) (P0025).

I can find loads of repair instructions for the V6 models. Can anyone provide me with instructions for replacing this on the V8?

I've read on the V6 there are two of these per side? Is that true for the V8?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

2008 E350 (W211 @170K), 2012 ML350 (W166 @119K), 2014 E350 Sport (W212 @96K), 2015 ML350 (W166 @92K)

Kit implies removal of the oil cooler. Though some people get away doing it w/o removal of it.

Also, 4 total for the whole engine

Thanks for the feedback. I also found this good video on YouTube:
. Again it is for the V6 (M272).

Am I to assume that all of the front accessories and this process are the same on the V8 (M273)?

Cool. Thank you. Even though this is for 212, this should still be common to the 211. It does appear that the front of the v6 and v8 are the same. Looks like this will be pretty straight forward.
