Strutmasters question….
Anyone switch from airmatic to arnott or strutmasters coil suspension? My new to me 2006 E500 4matic droops in the right rear after sitting for a few days. I want to replace the airbags and rear shocks, and eventually the fronts as well. But for airmatic parts that will total over $4k in parts alone…
So while I’d love to have a working airmatic system, cost wise, I think arnott ($1700) or strutmasters kit ($1200) seems like a no brainer if it’s good quality. So does anyone have experience doing the swap? How do you like the arnott or strutmasters? And what are your driving impressions of them when compared with the airmatic system?

So I went away for a week and left the e500 in the garage the whole time with the suspension on the raised setting. I just got back and checked on it and the car is completely level. The right rear has not gone down. So it seems intermittent. Does this mean it’s not the airbag and it’s the valve block instead?

....I would guess its the bag, dont be surprised in your near future to see it low and not able to rise. You may have to get on a knee to view the rear and see if there are any tears or rips that would led to issues.
