Pzev fule tank replacement with used non-pzev fule tank
Hello,
my 2008 E350 has on it California Pzev fuel tank which is sealed or built on fuel pump 😔.. fuel pump replacement means replacing the entire tank system.
I have my hand on used standard fuel tank with its sockets pipes etc .
Has anyone please replaced Pseve fuel tank with the standard plastic fuel tank??! Any issues? Such as computer doesn't read the new fuel pressure sensor or any related pain in the ***??
Thank youI'm available on what's App 00218913286683

There's a long and involved thread on replacing the fuel pump/filter without replacing the entire tank. And it's been less than 15 years since the in service date, then it might still be covered under the Pzev warranty which was 15 years/150k. But that's only in the US.

It doesn't say anything about the ability to replace fuel pump in a sealed pzev tank

There is the work by @West in BenzWorld, or @Westlotorn in MBworld. Perhaps the most complete (approach, details, and pictures) I have read in either forum (BenzWorld or MBWorld)

My advice is to read the full thread to follow him and others discussion; however, this entry point may help as well

From the updates in that thread, it seems @Westlotorn sold the car in late May 2022.

Thank you so much . You guys from US are awesome in regards to sharing your findings and knowledge 🤠. I've been to TX twice and my Mercedes is a MBUSA mercedes but it in Libya know which stopped the warranty.. I'm going to try this approach..all I'm worried about is the accessable door sealing I hope I can find or make one
best regards 😃
