W211 E550 Interior Issues
Hello everyone! First timer here just wanted to get familiar with the thread and seek some help,
I just got myself an '09 E550 4-matic with the AMG sport package after driving an '06 E500 for around five years. The car was owned by a family friend since new, regularly serviced, and only has 60k miles.
The car itself is mechanically and cosmetically mint, but unfortunately I'm having some trouble with a few interior components. The rear window sun-blind as well as the rear portion of the panoramic shade are having some issues-- the sun-blind itself doesn't want to go up, and the panoramic portion stops about halfway on the track while the front half rolls all the way back. If anybody has any advice/links to a forum that could help I'd greatly appreciate it!

Attached docs to remove/inspect rear shade (check f20 @ rear fuse panel in trunk) & check pano blind. Provide VIN if you want replacement part #s if need be.

The rear blind has always been problematic. I think it sometimes needs lubrication or a little bit of help to get it to go up and down, like someone to pull up on it when you hit the button. But the real answer is just to not use it. I haven't used mine in ages. Can't trust it to go down and you don't want to drive around with it in the up position at night.
