Climate control behavior and humidity sensor
Hello all,
The other night while driving in the rain I had my AC on, auto air direction but fan level 2 selected. The same temperature setting was selected to both driver and passenger side (I have the facelift two zone climate control). The vents directed for the passenger were blowing colder than the driver's side and it was the same with the ones in the rear, one was colder than the other. Is that the normal behavior when alone in the car? I tried playing with the setting and the temperature does change. One thing I've also noticed is that sometimes the center vents are colder than the ones closer to the doors.
I will go get the pressures checked since I haven't done that since I got the car. I know there is a TSB for these newer cars to get a humidity sensor fitted, but I don't have the cutout for it. Can some assist me with what's going on? My VIN is WDBUF56X98B249090

Thanks for the quick reply. I am looking in the cabin air filter box and it’s not there. Is there anywhere else I’d need to check? I know that the 4 zone cars have a fancier sensor but my car shouldn’t have that. I am
thinking of firing up Xentry and checking if I have a reading for humidity.
