Command "Office"

Guys, for those of you who like me were "awaiting" the NAV retrofit from WAY back when... there were articles published on the web/press about the Euro command having all these "office" type features.. and the system was to debut in Europe.. and I think it was an E55 related article. Does anyone remember that? And the specs and what was included... since a good # of us now with the replacement cars (and seemingly a Euro spec command)... do we have those features?

One I remember was a "voice memo" feature.... I haven't seen it... ANyways, just curious.

Peter

I remember that Mercedes-Benz was showing a demo, perhaps an S-class with Internet connectivity to the COMAND.

More recently I thought I heard that they weren't even using the COMAND display for text information from the Tele-Aid folks, which seems a real shame. There's something to be said for text directions or various concierge confirmation numbers on the screen rather than having to find a pen and write. Can any '05 US COMAND people confirm whether this is true?

But:
The e-mail is actually SMS. You can use WAP to read real e-mails if your provider offers it, and you have a usable WAP interface, which is only offered with a special phone installation only available in Europe.

The Address Book is OK, but there is no way to transfere addresses from other sources (used to work for us with Bluetooth, but they changed that). Too difficult to manually put in addresses.
