Question Smaller Pulley but no Tune. Any Issues?

Hello,

I came across an E55 AMG and I am planning to buy it. Current owner has installed an icebox in the trunk to cool the supercharger, performed a cat delete (check engine light on), and installed a smaller pulley. Everything else is stock. I wanted to know if the stock ecu can compensate for the smaller pulley without a tune and no problems. Is there anything I should ask/look out for? I plan to either tune the car or install the factory size pulley.

Thanks in advance.

I would repost in the correct AMG forum: https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg-81/

But in general...
Compression test. Many owners drove the AMG's hard and too many followed that 10K mile oil change. I would also take it to an indy shop that claims they specialize in MB's - toss them a hundred bucks (or more) - so they can pull the codes using a Star so you have some hard facts. Now if the cost is a non-issue to you and it is a toy to you and you want to play with it - enjoy! Depending on your state - that cat removal can be anywhere from a non-issue to a big giant hole in your wallet to fix.
