Airmatic Suspension 2005 E500

I have a 2005 E500. I backed into a curb and hit the lower control arm. I heard some air hissing, but the car never lowered or sagged.

Driving home 30 mins the Visit Workshop kept popping up on the dashboard. Brought it to my local Indy shop that has worked on the car before and found nothing wrong.
Said they sprayed it with soapy water all over the rear hoses and nothing. The figured that whatever I shook up reseated itself.

I picked the car up afterhours and was driving home when about 20 minutes later (mile from my house) the "Visit Workshop light come back on.
Back to the shop in the morning, same thing about a mile from the shop the warning message shows up again. This time they tell me the pump is bad ($1400).

I took the car back and changed out the pump myself. I still get the error message on the dashboard, but the car never sags, it rises with the lift button. I had it sit for 2 days and did not drop.

I am at a loss.

So ..what does the STAR/Xentry or iCarsoft diagnosis tell you? The computer will tell you what is wrong. Til then, don't just throw money and time at it.

I received my iCarSoft MBIII and ran a scan.

"Recovery Time During Filling of Central Reservoir is Too Long." This is with a brand new pump.

...Sometimes you may get a "brand new" item and it may be faulty, return than assemble. Hope this works

I found the leak in the rear white airmatic line. I had to run a compressor pump test for 60 secs to build up enough pressure to find the leak.

Is replacing the line as straightforward as it looks? Are there any concerns about unscrewing the Compressor Air Line Fitting from the rear airbag? Do I need to release pressure from the airbag?
Any other things I should be aware of before I start?

... Pretty straight forward make sure you swap out
those brass fittings and don't kink the line! Check out ytube for additional resources. Most of all take your time. Good luck

So it turns out it was not as straightforward as I thought. The line that had a crack in it was the supply line. It runs from the valve block to a distribution block right by the rear axle.

I had to take out the trunk liner and the back trim to access a rubber grommet that the airline runs through.
Cut off the air compression fitting that was connected to the rear air splitter.
Pull the airline into the trunk through the grommet.
Cut off the section of the hose that had a crack/leak.
Push replacement line through grommet attach compression fitting and connect to air splitter.
Replacement line:
Amazon Amazon
Connect the other side of the replacement line to the hose in the truck that runs to the valve block in the front of the car.

All in all not a hard job, but did not find the path of the airline anywhere online.

Hope this helps somebody.
