More SGI Inspection Nightmares 2005 W211
So i waited 2 weeks for this right side mirror turn signal that was visibly cracked and not working and did fail SGI inspection today.
BUT, Turns out the entire mirror mustve been damaged and only cosmetically fixed on the outside and just patched together on the inside,
as most if not all the wires goin to mirror heater, motor and turn signal were cut and shoddily soldered back together and taped up, not even heatshrunk
i cant even find a yt video tutorial for this year of car only the updated 2006 and newer
SO i tested the old turn signal bulb on an outside battery and it still works BUT neither it nor new one will light up when connected to the car.
SO does anyone know if its possible to order that wiring harness that goes from inside the door electronic panel to the mirror?
I dont care about the heated mirror or electric motor but i must get this mirror signal light going to pass inspection in next 30 days
AS a side bonus the little panel cover on the inside of the door basically distengrated when i pried it open.
It literally fell into about 7 pieces with litttle effort

Luckily firts one i found one on ebay for way less and they certify it works or refund so cross my fingers it works, at least long enought o pass stupid gvt inspection

mirror finally came into today and it took 2 hours to install but inspection finally completed , all SGI approved and ready to go
i guess i have to eat some of my words , i think i predicted in another p[ost this mirror wouldnt solve the problem and i would need a new controller inside the door.
thank god i was wrong and this nightmare can start to subside......
