Hey guys I’ve got a 2003 E500 with 133k on it and i noticed a drop of oil on my driveway this morning. I just bought the car and drove it from CA to TX without problems.

Anyway I wasn’t able to get it up to see clearly but I was able to get my arm underneath and take sone pics. It looks wet and it’s dripping or collecting somewhere that it gets onto the the O2 sensor wire on the passenger side.

thinking the worst possible a rear main seal? Amy ideas guys? I checked the valve covers and they look dry.

If the rear main or the valve covers are leaking it all ends up driping down from the same spot at the bottom of the engine and bell housing.

I have a feeling it’s the rear main but hoping for a miracle answer that it may be something else that’s easy and simple to fix

I have the exact same leak. In my case it is the rear main seal and the driver side valve cover gasket. The gasket job isnt too bad as I've done one before but the rear main is not something I'm willing to do.
