Clunking noise from drivers rear wheel after change all brake and rotors

Hello.
This is my first thread.
I have a E500 Base Model 2005.

I recently replaced all rotors and brake pads with Zimmermann and Akebono (EUR986 and EUR847).

I noticed that when I press a brake pedal, I can hear a clunk noise that came from the drivers rear side, but it only happens when the brakes are cold. When brake get hot, I don't hear any clunk noise anymore.

Is this normal? Does anyone have this issue?

Thanks

It sounds like something may not have been tightened enough. Maybe take it apart and make sure all is torqued to spec — Caliper frame, caliper mounting bolts, even wheel bolts. Had that on one wheel of ML350 W163 — It was the caliper mounting bolts.

Yes, that's what I'm planning to do on weekend. Unfortunately, I will have to use two wrenches to tighten/loosen the caliper mounting bolts because there's stuff in the way.

Ok, I tried removing the rear brake pads, caliper brackets, and reseat the rotor. I added blue threadlocker on the caliper bolts and hand tighten it as i can. I put brake lube on the shims and the caliper bolts. I also lubricate the pins with silgyde. After I put everything back, I checked that both sides are able to spin freely. But while the car is jacked up, I start the car and put in the drive mode. One side is spinning freely and the other side (left rear) is dragging and stopping. I also noticed that the brake spring is loose on the left side rear, even though I try bending it and reseating it.
If the left rear is dragging while in drive mode, what could be the issue?

Take channel locks, and push the pistons inside slightly, that you can set the pads so they don't touch the discs. Start the engine, set the trans to drive and see what happens. If the left side is still dragging, issue might be the parking brake.
Also note, if you have an open diff, it may not spin both sides at equal speed.

Hmmm, with parking brake released, I am able to spin the tire without the resistance by hand. The same goes with the other side too. But now that you mention open differential, maybe that could be the reason why both sides don't speed freely. This is something I will do the research on. Thanks for giving me the info about that.

I just found out that left side rear anti rattle brake spring hardware feels loose compare to the right side rear. I replaced it with another one and when I test the brakes, no more clunking/knocking noise.

Thanks all for your suggestions.
