ESP/Runflat/Cruise Inoperative E300 ‘08
I’ve got an ‘08 E300 with an ESP/Runflat Inoperative (when I try it) light that comes on when after I’ve pressed the brake approximately 2x while the car is in drive and stays on. The good thing is that there is no ABS error… however when I got it scanned it said low voltage to component was the error, yet when I checked the battery voltage I’m still getting 12V (11.5 in menu) and then 14.6 (14.1 in menu) while running. I will scan it again and take a picture of the code.. The battery is only 4 years old so I’d rather not have to replace with a new one from the dealership ! I thought it could be the brake pedal/light switch since it is triggered after braking however I would think that the scanner likely would’ve yelled brake pedal switch on the scanner..
edit. Changed out the brake pedal switch and bingo, car is back to normal !
