Front SAM module replacement
I have a 2007 E350 RWD sport that I drove through a touchless carwash. I drove maybe 1 to 2 miles and the car died. I've gone through the entire vehicle and checked every fuse and they were good. I did notice that there was some green corrosion on some of the relays terminals in the front SAM module. I used a scan tool and recovered these codes ESP 7284 and 4D41. When I turn the key the vehicle will turn over for 1 cycle and then won't turn over again. I'm leaning toward the idea that the front SAM is toast because of water damage? And I have searched high and low and can not find any videos or information about replacing the front SAM on a 2007 E350. Any help or knowledge is greatly appreciated.

Let us say, it is water damage. Will a new Front SAM fix the issue? At least not permanently unless you decide not to use car washes anymore, nor drive under the rain, and have the car covered at all times when parked.
If it is water-damaged, and the car still attempts to start. Please do not try again until you are 100% certain it is dry. You may trigger a short, if not already shorted.
Once dried, delete codes with the scanner, and rescan it again.

The lid for the front SAM wasn't correctly seated allowing the water to get in. Water shouldn't be an issue with the new module as long as lid is seated. My next question is can I purchase one from ebay as long as the numbers match? P/N2115457401 I find them on ebay but some are in diesels with the same P/N will these work?
