Ideas for vanity plates.
Silly me, I paid a $100 to place my company name on my vanity plates. How creative.....NOT!
What I should have gotten:
MYBENZ....how uncreative...
CLATERBX.....put put put.....
BENZOILR.......
Ohh yeah, very creative!
I was thinking about what would be cool or funny if we had 8 characters to work with.
Let's have some fun with this. :p

It helps to be in a small state, and one (if any there are) that allows eight characters on a vanity plate. California allows up to seven characters, and with something like 3,000,000 vanity plates outstanding, all the good ones and most of the bad ones are already taken. MYBENZ and MY BENZ are, needless to say, taken. MBOILER is still available, but people would read it as M-Boiler. See for yourself what's still available in California (you have to go through the first screen as if you were ordering a plate to get to the name-your-plate screen):

anyone know if there is a better interface with the california database? this method is tedious at best.
much better if you could scan the database quickly with a few commands to search for E55 or some other string.

I believe the smaller and simpler the phrase, the better. something like My ?????, blah blah blah is in my opinion lame...everyone knows its urs, plus, you will look toooo happy like this happy guy :p with the car....makes the car lose some of its class...
numbers are nice especially 3 - 4 digit ones....the more white space in the plate the more unique the look, if you know what i mean...![Cool](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/cool.gif)
My friend had an AUDI TT, in the beginning he screwed up with personalising those plates, however, in the end he chose:
0000
which looked incredible, that i believe was creative, unthought of, and maintained the car's class....

California (and probably have other states) have DMV employees who spend all day reviewing vanity plate applications for anything that might give anyone offense. The application also requires you to state the "meaning" of your vanity plate, in case it isn't obvious. The DMV employees are fully stocked with foreign dictionaries and even a mirror, for applications like "3M TA3". Anything with a "P" relating to micturition probably wouldn't make the cut, although it's said that a urologist once got a plate that says "CME2P".
