03 w211 intermittent starting no cel light?
03 211 v6. 200k miles. Car will crank and crank and sometimes start, sometimes won't. There is no cel. Wouldn't start so I left it for 2 days. Went to start it and it fired right up. Drove 5 miles and shut it off. Now it won't start again. I had the same problem about six months ago and had a new cam position sensor installed. Last time it threw a cel. This time no light. Six months? Why do these things fail so much? Replaced it with one from MB but regardless where I got it shouldn't last only six months if in fact this is the problem this time. I wonder why there is no light now. I have to get it scanned again, but with no cel light will it throw a code?
