Knocking noise from 2004 E320 cdi
Would like to know if anyone has had this noise and what the cause of it is, had some people say its the injectors and some say its the tappets, would like to know before I get into the engine.

The sound does not play for me.
My 2005 CDI with 245,000 miles seems pretty quiet; however, it is a diesel so it is an inherently clattery engine. Do you have the engine cover on? It is packed with sound absorbing material.
