Swaped OM646. vibration, high fuel consumption.
My old engine had 900,000 km on it before it blew up. It had huge blow by from crankcase and all the injectors were bad and still had 5.5l/100km.
So now i swapped the engine, took the same OM646.821 from 2008 W204. The engine worked perfectly on the C class, had no vibrations, smooth ect..
All i did was unplug the ecu connector and unscrew engine mounts and put in inside my W211.
When i started the engine it was idling abour 400rpm full throttle. Turned out i needed to swap fuel rail from my old engine (even tho its exactly the same with exactly the same codes).
So i got it running, it works fine, no leaks, injectors are clean ect, and it only has 220k on it.
But im ´having huge vibration on my engine, i can feel it in my steering wheel also the engine is LOUD.
Fuel consumption is 7,1/100 km, when driving 90km/h on the highway with cruise control.
MB indie did diagnosis and coulnt find anything wrong, fuel pressures ect were all good.
Also i have brand new engine and transmission mounts so cant be that relating to vibrations.
Only thing i can think of is my transmission, my torque converter is bad (clutch is slipping and gears go in with a bang sometimes). But with the old worn out engine i still got 5.5l/100 and no vibration.
Anyone has ideas?

Vibrating 4Cyl Turbo Diesel replacement engine.
sounds like one cylinder is not contributing or poorly.
Do you get improvement with good glow plug or swap around?

Are the injectors the same part number for both engines ?
The E class is a heavier car so possibly the injectors differ from the C class and perhaps the boost settings of the turbo ?
the loudness of the engine is puzzling.
Hope you find an answer
