E500 Differential

E500 Differential
Hello everyone!
I'm in need of replacing the rear differential on my 2003 non-4MATIC E500. Currently, it's equipped with a 2.82 ratio differential, and I'm curious if this part is interchangeable with other models, such as the SL500 or S500.
Additionally, if I'm unable to find the exact differential, would it be possible to use a different one from another W211 model, even if it has a different gear ratio?

I do believe the S500 will fit. Check Fleabay(ebay) for your car you may find a e500. If you do call the seller, and deal with them one on one, you'll save $. Sometimes the seller turns out to be a boneyard that are willing to work a deal. Just my opinion. GL
