Weird electrical issue .. my wife's 2007 e 350 shows error message for front side marker light which is out also right license plate light and upon investigating the plate light I noticed the brake lights flickers when pushing on the brake pedal any help would be a huge help where do I start and has anybody had this problem

The brake light switch going is common. Just replace the brake light switch, it's an under $20 part and lots of videos on how to do it. Basically unplug it, unscrew the old one and screw in the new one. Side markers going is common also. You get corrosion in the sockets. If it's not bad, you can just clean it out and use a new bulb, but if it's bad, you can just buy the socket, was around $10 last time I got one.

Oh and if it's not the brake light switch, it's the wires in the trunk next to the left hinge, the brown wire gets worn away and it's a ground wire so it affects a few things like the license plate light. Search for trunk wiring, there's a big thread on that here somewhere. The brake light switch goes too which gives you ESP errors but that's probably not it right now. You can get just wire connectors at Home Depot to fix the broken wire. Check the other ones too but it's usually just one wire.

I do occasionally get the esp warning light it's like a triangle with a exclamation point in it

describe the flicker better, can you post a video of the flicker? Does it flicker continuously once the pedal is depressed or does it flicker a few times then hold steady on?
