2006 E500 not starting
Just got gas on Saturday and went to start it then the car would crank and start for a couple of seconds then shuts off and now that I tried starting it today it just cranks and now it won’t start at all and just keeps cranking also it’s now telling me low battery convenience features temporarily disabled but it does that every time it’s under 30 so I didn’t really worry about it since I got a new aux battery just over a year ago now and I’ve been reading around and it seems like it’s either a cam position sensor or crank sensor idk if they’re the same or not but but I’m hoping it’s that but was looking to see if anyone had any other thoughts on the matter

your crank, and cam sensors are different. I had the same problem with my car, try unplugging your battery for one minute and then plug it back in and try starting it again. If it cranks up and doesn’t want to start or starts for a second then dies again try starting it with your gas cap off, or throw it into neutral and try to start it again so you can eliminate your park sensor and your system. Let me know if that works or not, good luck bud.

Out Of Control!!
remember that disconnecting the battery to clear a sensors memory only works if the sensor has memory and the CPS has no memory and you dont know if its at fault because you have not tested the CPS all you have are WAG's
