2005 Command and 3-5-7.

2004 E500 / 2001 C240
2005 Command and 3-5-7.
This may have been covered before but Merc must have gotten wind of this as the 3-5-7 does not work on the 2005 command units.. At least mine anyways. And believe me, I have tried.. Haha..

11/04 build date on my 2005 e500 4matic...
and i got into the menu, changed to 211 amg and 211ece.
now i get the amg splash page, but no RDS
FYI - i also have no nav.

well...
I changed to amg splash screen and ECE and now all my buttons are mapped incorrectly. Example - Preset 7 is found by hitting the number 1, pretty much the entire radio is all mapped differently so now i have to hunt for 3, 5, and 7 to try and get back in to switch it back else the dealer will be getting the old...
i have no idea how that could of happened story!

Allthough it took quite a few tries, mine worked on my 2005 E500. I must have tried it 10 times while sitting in the passenger seat. Then on the 11th time, for some reason I looked down to take a peek between the console and the drivers seat to see the seat mechanism, when I looked back after about 20 seconds at the COMMAND screen, there was the secret menu. Could be I wasn't waiting long enough on my initial attempts. All I did was make it shown the AMG splash screen. No DVD I inserted would work so I guess I am out of luck there (for now).
Next goal is to get a list of all the secret key sequences and see what I can do with this thing. Our sister company makes diagnostic tools for MB, BMW, etc, so I know 'we' know all about the unit.

Let me know if you find a way to get my radio back to normal. I was playing around with the newly mapped keys, trying to find keys for #3, #5, #7. Found them, but can't seem to get the new mapped keys to let me back in the menu.

thx for hte link. I played around w/ it and got it back to normal after hitting 5,3,then 7 like the link you posted. I'm sure mercedes service would have said the comand had to be replaced, $ 3000 for 2 seconds worth of work!

I changed to the "AMG" splash screen... makes my car feel sooooo much faster. hehehehe
