What type of bulb (halogen or xenon) you have, and what's the condition of the lenses?

Probably the xenon bulb on it's way to die. I changed the RH bulb because it was rather dim, and you could say it was out of focus as the light pattern didn't have as sharp edge as the left had.

Either the bulb is about to die or the projector is burnt

I had the same/similar issue on my 2005 CLS55 and replaced both headlights. Light output and sharpness have both increased dramatically.

You can also replace just the projector, but as the interior wiring also becomes brittle and will cause errors, I opted for totally new units. More info + pics in my build thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/c219/8443...ml#post8889206
