Exclamation Big knocking noise after adding oil, audio file please help diagnose

Can anyone tell me wassup? Was half way between max and min on dipstick for oil. Maybe a lil above half way. I added 1 quart Mobile one extended life high mileage 5w 30 oil full synthetic. It is now maybe a smidge above max. This was 3 days ago. Been driving ok but today started engine up and hearing this

Before I rush to mechanic and get told 100 things need repair, can anyone tell from the noise wassup? Should I drain some oil and see if it quiets?

PLEASE NOTE I ADDED THE OIL TO THE OIL TANK BY UNSCREWING THE OIL CAP!

THE PICTURES NOT THE SOUND FILE ARE PICS OF SOMETHING ELSE I SUSPECT MAY BE THE CAUSE OF MY ISSUE....

I found this is it transmission oil in here or gear oil or??? It is not brake fluid that's full. It's not antifreeze, that is full. This is not engine oil either.

If you wipe it clean can see 80C perfect. This is how it looked when took out before wiping off (to show the fluid is all the way to max I believe) this was taken out of a hot just run engine when I got home and noticed the engine knock noise, and I turned of car after doing recording and checked this and I cannot tell even tho it looks to be full (fluid all the way to 80c max line) or if that is not the case and the fluid is way low (maybe fluid is really only as high as the blob on the bottom??? and the rest just has some residue on it making it look like fluid is that high up?

IDK either way the fluid in the pics is NOT where I added the engine oil but I wanted to see if that may be the issue of my noise? The box pictured is where that dipstick came out of.

FYI CAR WAS DRIVING OK BUT NOTICED ON FREEWAY AT TIMES WHEN ACCELERATING IT WOULD VIBRATE A LOT (ENGINE) MAYBE THIS HELPS DISGNOSE THE NOISE YOU HEAR AS THE VIBRATION THING NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE TONIGHT COMING HOME FROM WORK. WAS FINE EVEN AS OF THIS MORNING GOING TO WORK.

Your pictures are that of your power steering pump.

Your MP3 sound clip is the sound of distressed engine.... does your engine sport a balancing shaft by any chance?

Double check what oil grade your engine accepts. A 5w30 doesn't seem like enough viscosity.

How do I check for balancing shaft? If I gave a vin could someone check? (see pic for vin)

It was only like I said a lil low - well, not low at all on oil but was a lil above half from min to max on dipstick so I added 1 additive (LiquidMoly engine oil additive as that is what my friend uses on his Mercedes) and 1 qt of the mobile 1 full syn oil - so maybe an oil change will help quiet my engine again?

Thanks for the help I am off next 2 days (wed-thurs) trying to get to the bottom of this before I drive it again. My steering is fine no issues there so I guess that pic is not the issue of my engine noise lol

Your engine sound is not related to missing a little oil or steering....

Here is your VIN: WDBUF56X47B032562 for cut/paste searches

Go ahead connect an OBD Scanner to gather your engine fault codes. You'll know exactly.

It sounds like you put 5w30 engine oil in your power steering reservoir. Regardless of the noise, you need to flush out your power steering.

No I did not, that was something separate I took a pic of to see if it may be the issue of the noise lol - now that I know it is not I am removing that pic.

I added 1 qt 5w30 full synthetic oil and 15 ml I think it was liquid moly oil additive to the engine. Drove a few days and now have this noise

Should this fix my issue? Any idea on man hours needed? I am not this good of a mechanic so not doing myself - may ask Pep Boys or a local European shop to do it - dealer prolly too expensive. Just trying to figure the time needed to know about how much will need to pay. I may have to do one of those auto loan cards with a shop, I do not have a lot of money right now.

yes this may well be what's involved - IF you confirm fault codes are pointing to that problem.

I would NEVER go to a general tire franchise to work on engine-out repairs of MB cars. You need a specialist MB shop!
You might get lucky but being in Vegas you can foresee the odds.
