New 350 engine.

Hello gents

I just came over this article about the new E 350. The new project involves alot of new techniques like Flow-optimised intake ducts with innovative tumble flaps for the best possible throughput, Specially developed valves with a shaft diameter of only six millimetres, which only slightly disturb the flow in the intake duct and on it goes. The cars performance is also improved, with 350 Nm torque between 2400 and 5000 rpm, and 272hp/200 kW at 6000 rpm. The car goes from 0 to 60 in 6.9, 1.4 seconds faster than its predecessor the 320. The fuel consumption are lowerd by 0.2 to 9.7 litres per 100 kilometres compared to the E 320, despite the 21 % higher output.
Along with the car comes a new sport package for the E-class. The package contains 18-inch wheels, sporty suspension and more direct steering, Seats with TWIN Leather upholstery, leather sports steering wheel and stainless steel pedals. The prices of the package will begin from 1276 to 2088 Euro, depending on the model. To make a short conclusion of all this, the new engine will tremble the higher 6 cylinder market, and affect models like the BMW 530i and the new A6 3.2 FSi.

Thats not the same engine.
The engine in the current ML350 is a 3.7 liter engine producing 232hp.
The new E 350's engine will be a 3.5 liter engine producing 268hp(US)/272hp(Europe). It is also the same one which is found in the SLK350.
Cheers!

This engine is more impressive. It even has an electric water pump which makes all kinds of sense to me.
