Turn off command screen with music on?

I'd like to be able to turn off the command screen without turning off the music. I can't seem to find any way to do this. Am I missing something?

I don't think there is a way to do this although you can turn down the bightness of the screen under SERV (At least I think that is what the button is).

On my clk you can change it. There is abutton called DISP meaning display. You click it once and it changes from the day time color to the night time color or vice versa. Then click it again and th ecommand screen shuts off but the music is still playing.

If there is a way to do it it's not in the manual.

i couldn't do it with the comand on the c-class either. since looking at the audio screen is boring, i would press the map button to look at the map of where I'm heading to (when I listen to music).

Thanks for all the input. Looks like I'll have to get used to having it on all the time.
