Mercedes-AMG Muffler Documentation

I had problems attaching this picture as a reply to the previous thread.

Anyhow, here is the diagram of the E500 exhaust system. It shows where the AMG mufflers get installed onto the OEM E500 exhaust system. This picture is from the booklet that came shipped with the Mercedes-AMG mufflers.

NOTE the "W211 E50" designation in the diagram on the right side just above the legend.

Do you have the dual mufflers with the large single oval tips or 4 pipes. Just double checking because I thought the part number B6 603 6142 was for the single ovals like this:

The part number for W211 E320 is B6 603 6141. I wonder which tips are on that one?

Photo of Exhaust System Work

Here's where the welding took place and what it looks like completed. Again, I opted to have the mufflers welded in place as opposed to using the supplied exhaust clamps.

When you look at the picture, the welds towards the front of the car are the only ones necessary (only 1 weld per muffler). The reducer is already welded to the unit when shipped.

vdimemmo,

Looks awesome!!!

1) can you describe the difference in sound and is there any increase in hp?

2) can you give me all the part numbers (body and mufflers)?

3) did you have the MB dealer do the painting and the install?

Thanks, mp

Check out this link for pricing and part numbers:

Also, reference the above forum for all the details regarding the mufflers, bumpers, and AMG kit. You'll find pricing, performance, etc.

More looks than sound. Sound is low rumble, more noticable at lower RPMs. I did not want to stray fro OEM parts.

Vdimemmo, where did you buy the muffler set? I have asked TWO dealers with the part # and they can not find it in the system.

DId you get it from another vendor?

Thanks

The E55 rear muffler will fit and work with any W211 - V6 & V8. However, I believe you will need the AMG rear bumper also.
