Thumbs up SBC and LAUNCH X431 Creader Elite 2.0

I have the dreaded C249F code... I was looking for a scanner that would do more than read codes like my old 2019 Creator 501 for BENZ. ~$90cdn
Got the LAUNCH X431 V2.0 ($165cdn on ALiexpress) and did my first test today. First impression? Pretty good for the price. I will let the pictures talk for themselves.

1. SBC Main menu
2. Module information
3. Special fonction (did not test any of them)
4. Initial statrup after repair, hidden in setting / changeover (did not test) Hopefully this is where you tell your car to accept the "new" unit if it does not recognise it automatically?
5. What it looks like after a scan...
* Read data stream (not shown) will show acumulator and brake line pressure.
I did not see any information on the number of pedal actuation or reset. Might be hidden in Initial statrup?

This scanner will find way more code than you expect - I did not erase any of them for now. I was not home at the time.
In Diagnose, skip AutoDetect and go strait to Mercedes, your VIN will be there...

More power to you!

Now you can easily interact with faulty modules.
Your homework is to fix as many fault as possible.

The brakes + engine being high priorities.

Scared the sh*t out of me today....

You know that 'Initial startup after repair' option? Well, there is no sub-menu in there; it will reset the SBC. I'm not 100% sure of that but the white warning "visit workshop" is gone. (I did not re-scanned it to see if the C249F code was still there.)
The "sh*tting part" is, when I selected it and it started its thing, I canceled it and then the RED stop of death was on the dashboard. I pressed on the brakes and it disappeared.
But now I had 2 malfunctions instead of 1 on the dash + the EVAP check engine light (been there for months). I selected it again and let it do its thing and hope for the best. Now there is zero warning and event the evap check engine light is gone.
Then I did an OBD scan from the LAUNCH scanner, no code found... Went for a ride around town, the dash is still clear. The brakes are working as they should.

I will still replace the SBC unit next spring as planned; I already have a clean replacement REMAN by BOSCH unit dated 14/21 so at most, it has 3 years of use.
It came out of a 03 E320 and mine is a 04 E320, hopefouly it's going to be a plug & play... I have a plan to "bench test" it in the car before installing it.

Ps; The odometer numbers and alarm buzzer are gone, (from an idiot at a "german car specialist shop" don't want to go back in case they f*ck something else). I tried the IC (intrument cluster) section but I'm not sure I'm at the right place.
There is stuff in there I don't want to mess with. There is no option to have the numbers show-up in the IC. I have no photos at the moment. Any suggestion is welcomed. Thanks

Update : After rescan, the C249F is now stored

Here are the options for the IC (instrument cluster) to fix the missing odometer caused by incompetent mecanic. Any info would be appreciated...

ACTUAL MILEAGE

MAIN MENU

VARIANT CODING

SETTINGS - IC settings had options for icons and such, nothing for odometer.

SPECIAL FUNCTION - Note odometer values not the same as DATA STREAM 197252KM

F6 SPECIAL FUNCTION - Did not investigate F3 / F5 or F7

VARIANT CODING - Buzzer output was off I selected ON nothing changed

EEPROM OFF - Did not touch it
