RADIO NOT WORKING AFTER SAM REPLACEMENT

Hello everyone, let's see if someone can help. I recently replaced my rear SAM module cause the old one got some water in it and broke. So I bought a second hand refurbished one, plugged it in and all functions were restored except I get the error "Battery protection, convenience function temporarily unavailable". The error comes and goes as I drive and the radio turns on for a few seconds with the MB logo and then goes off. I replaced both batteries and checked fuses. I also bought a loop adaptor to check every single module there is but nothing. I could not get it to work again. It's weird. Because before replacing the SAM the radio did work. Can it be related to the Battery error? Is there a way tk get my Radio back? Pretty sad drives with no sound around. The battery also drains very quickly (overnight) if not unplugged. Any tip anyone? Many thanks in advance

not done yet... you've replaced a soaked R-SAM and now the "consumers" are switched off including the quiet Radio module.

The main issue is LOW CHASSIS VOLTAGE.

Before you can get music again... you're going to need normal power into both your batteries.

Based on your story line, I am going to guess your used SAM is in this for something.

Let see where chassis stands...

Connect your MB scanner to your chassis to retrieve all modules faults descriptions.

This is aiming towards re-doing SAM repair.

Re doing the Sam Repair as in unplugging and plugging it back in? I'll have to find a a way to scan with MB software cause obviously I don't have one. Thank you for the answer. Anybody else please?

Irrelevant and incorrect answer

As you can tell nobody bought a junkyard replacement part. In fact I never mentioned a junkyard, instead I bought the refurbished part from an authorized German reseller. Thanks for your absolutely unnecessary and irrelevant comment.
