Unhappy 2006 E320 CDI Crank but No Start

Hello fellow MB enthusiasts! One of my Mercedes vehicles has a problem that I can't seem to figure out. It will crank over, but it will not start. While performing diagnosis on the car, I got the following result.

Does anyone have any idea if this is why the car will crank but not start?

Any help would be sincerely appreciated!

PS - I'm sorry for the GIANT picture. I don't know how that happens.

This says your car is ignoring the ignition switch module (EIS).

there must be a list of chassis faults associated to that error.

At the end of the day... that EIS module likely needs to be repaired with a 5mn soldering job.

Thank you for your reply. Surprisingly, there aren't a host of chassis errors showing up on the scanner. I've been a lifelong Mercedes enthusiast and this car has less codes than most whenever they fail to start for some reason.

Can you elaborate on the 5 minute soldering job? I'm capable of performing most jobs on my vehicles, but I have not had this problem before and would need some more specific guidance, if you have the time to instruct me.

2006 W211 should be well supported by OBDII scanners or MB DAS.
To troubleshoot you want to know what you're up against... a chassis scan with faulted modules lets you understand the current condition.

Right now we've only gathered that EIS is acting up.

Before we rush to soldering anything let's confirm this then we'll concentrate on findings.

We have nothing to gain by dealing with parts not proven bad.
