Fob issues HELP!
Hello All. So heres the issue. My fob for my 2004 E500 is working intermittently. It seems that if the car sits idle for a while it doesnt want to open the doors or turn the car on. I did notice however that the only way to remedy this is if I disconnect the battery and immediately
reconnect it. The fob all of a sudden works again.
Seems to me that disconnecting and reconnecting the battery is resetting something.
Weird. Anybody with Any ides as to whats going on?

What is the battery voltage? What is the CANBUS voltage on the Hi and Lo lines?
Set instrument cluster to speedometer setting, turn key to position 1, the press reset button on lower left rapidly three times. Should bring up the bus voltage. When it gets below 12 volts, you are going to have issues. The 32 or so modules on the CANBUS do not like marginal voltages and will fail in unforeseen ways.
