Engine Swap difficult?
Hello all. I have a 2008 E350 - 4matic with a bad engine. It is post the balance shaft issue, but jumped time and have bent exhaust vales in Cyl. 6. I have put over $16,000 into this car in the last 3 years, eg. tires battery, brakes, rotors, calipers, used diff, both front axles/CV joints, Alternator, A/C compressor, radiator, intake manifold, oil cooler, headlight assemblies, and all the cam magnets and sensors, as well as wheel sensors, steering wheel sensor....etc. It has 276,000 original miles, and the transmission is shifting a little late (also drained and refilled tranny). I can get another 2009 E350 4-matic (130,000 mi) for about $1000 all in that was wrecked. Should I consider an engine and tranny swap? and how difficult is it? which ECM should be the final?

@gerytb Read this for some good tips on this guy's engine swap. His was a bit more difficult as he put an '08 engine into his '06 E350 and had to account for variations.
