I own a 2005 E500 4Matic wagon and a 1992 300d
E500 wagon interior swap
Hey there I’m pretty new to this whole forum thing but I’ve come looking for answers as one does, specifically on interior stuff. I’ve got on 05 e500 wagon and am currently in the process of swapping out the very dull grey interior for pacific blue and when we went to put the front seats in they weren’t functioning at all. I was just wondering would it be something with the seats themselves? Or maybe The SAM module? Or The fact that the car has dynamics and the blue seats are base? If they won’t work then would there be a way to cannibalize the blue leather to swap onto the grey seats? Just kinda stuck and I don’t really want to be stuck with blue everything but the front seats 😂

I'm doing the same thing in my E55; swapping the black interior for merlot. You could just swap the leather over from one seat to another, which is what I am doing (well my friend is doing it for me I gave up).
How long did you leave the seat plugged in for? When I took out my passenger seat and reinstalled it, it took about 30 minutes for the electronics in the seat to come back to life. Your best bet would be using an Autel and scanning for codes to see why.
